Breast Cancer Awareness Month can be celebrated in more ways than wearing pink. So many brands are stepping up through fundraising and awareness initiatives in support of the research and education needed to find a cure for breast cancer. We consider ourselves lucky to work with two such brands that went above and beyond their regular business routine to create a fundraising campaign in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month: introducing Bolt PR clients PizzaRev Santa Ana and WAXIE, both partners of the American Cancer Society this month.

PizzaRev Santa Ana is donating 50 percent of its limited-time only ‘pink’ dessert pizza to the nonprofit. Featuring a cinnamon crust, powdered sugar, Oreo crumbles and pink frosting drizzled on top, supporting a cause has never been so delicious!

PizzaRev is revolutionizing how people enjoy pizza. Guests can craft their own personal 11” pizza by choosing their crust, sauce, cheese and any combination of toppings from a selection of 30 options. In addition to the pink dessert pizza, check out PizzaRev Santa Ana’s other special promotions going on now:

  1. Wing Wednesday – Guests can enjoy 10 traditional or boneless wings, slathered in their favorite sauce (Buffalo, Sweet and Bold BBQ or Mango Habanera), and a beer for $9.99.
  2. Lunch Combo – Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., guests can purchase a Craft Your Own Pizza and soft drink for just $8.
  3. The Perfect Pair – Pair any pizza with a beer or wine for $9.95 from 4-6 p.m. and after 8:30 p.m. daily

WAXIE Santa Ana, a local branch of the industry leader in sanitary maintenance supplies, is also partnering with American Cancer Society to help free the world of cancer. This year, the family-owned company has set a goal to raise $100,000 to help find a cure for breast cancer. WAXIE Santa Ana will serve as the flagship sponsor of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer event on Oct. 22 in Costa Mesa, Calif., which raises money for cancer research. Additionally, WAXIE Santa Ana will be donating 10 percent of its sales from pink microfiber towels back to the nonprofit throughout the month of October. The local branch hopes to raise awareness about all types of cancer and help educate men and women about prevention and early detection.

In addition to spotlighting the great work these brands are doing to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer, we also want to take a moment to thank these and all other companies and individuals who step forward to make a difference. We all know someone who has been impacted by cancer and it’s only when we work together to raise awareness about early detection and raise funds to further research that we will finally find a cure, once and for all.
