- We begin with Sunday’s most adorable news. The winner of Best in Show was crowned at the 145th annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Wasabi the Pekingese took the title in the competition that was held at the Lyndhurst Estate in Tarrytown, New York. Due to the pandemic, this is the first time the competition wasn’t held at New York’s Madison Square Garden since 1877. In fact, The Westminster Dog Show has a rich history being the second-oldest continuous sporting event in the US, enduring through world wars and economic depressions.
- “Everything is possible,” Novak Djokovic commonly says, and that held true at the thrilling French Open final on Sunday, June 13. The 22-year-old Greek tennis star won his 19th grand slam title, just one short of reaching the all-time record shared by Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. The match lasted more than four hours and was off to a tumultuous start, but Djokovic came back to beat Stefanos Tsitsipas in the grueling competition.
